TWO TRUCKS OFF
COAL TRAIN DERAILMENT AT TUAKAU NO FAST TRAFFIC DELAYED A main line derailment took place at Tuakau at three o’clock this morning, when a special goods train loaded with coal, consigned from Glen Alton to Auckland, struck a broken hook lying across the line, derailing two wagons. The accident occurred when the train was passing through the township, and main line and loop traffic was delayed for a considerable period. The debris was removed in time to prevent delay to fast passenger trains running North and South.
