Mosley, S.M., at the ini quest concerning the death of Thomas ( Alexander Ilardie, who was killed while ! riding a motor-cycle at Sockburn on j December 21, again referred to the in- | creasing number of fatal accidents on i tho roads. i Air. Mosley said: “This man was only 21 years of age, and his death is a loss to the country. This is one of a practically continuous line of accidents of this nature. They are caused by carelessness on tho part of one person or tho other. In this unfortunate case the accident was a result of deceased’s own actior.” It was shown that Hardie had two companions on his machine and was doing 33 miles an hour when he ran into a car.
