TAURANGA NOTES
The monthly run for the Randle Cup by the members of the Fire Brigade took place on Tuesday evening. There were eight competitors. Results: Fireman C. Hand, 1; Fireman A. Griffiths, 2; Fireman H. Harnett, 3. At a meeting of the General Carnival Committee it was reported that the Country Queen Committee had arranged to hold a gymkhana. At present the Citizens’ queens colours are on top. All committees are working hard to plax:e their candidate at the head of the poll.
