UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM
NO WORK FOR 3,000,000 IN UNITED STATES TARIFF MEASURE PROPOSED Reed. 9.5 a.m. WASHINGTON, Tues. The Secretary of Labour, Mr. J. J. Davis, stated today that there were 3,000,000 people unemployed in the United States. This fact had created a huge problem. Mr. Davis accused the Senate of delaying the tariff measure, which, he said, would improve the conditions in regard to employment.
