STOCKBROKER’S ARREST

SENSATIONAL CHARGE IN SAN FRANCISCO SUM OF £IOO,OOO INVOLVED SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday. A sensation has been caused in financial circles in San Francisco by the arrest of George Keyston, president of the local Stock Exchange, and eight other persons. They are charged with conspiring to embezzle £IOO,OOO from the Bank of Italy. Joseph Bray, manager of the San Francisco branch of the bank, is specifically charged with taking funds, while Keyston’s firm handled his account in dummy names. Bray was caught in the financial crash of October last,, when he lost £200.000.
