WAR RELICS REFUSED

ONE TREE HILL SAYS “NO” The German machine-guns and trench mortars ottered by the Auckland City Council to the One Tree Hill Road Board -were refused at a meeting last evening. Mr. J. S. Hardwicke presided. j A request from the Auckland Autoj mobile Association that a light should be erected at the junction of the Great South and Panmure Roads was received by the board. A report submitted by the inspector pointed out that the area was in the Ellerslie Town .Board’s district. It was decided to forward the inspector’s report to the Elierslie Town Board.
