SALVATION ARMY CONFERS

CONGRESS IN WELLINGTON Press Association "WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Salvation Army Congress opened in the Vivian Street Citadel today with a United Home League rally. Officers attending the congress to the number of 550 were present, as well as members of the various Home Leagues in the city and suburbs. There was a march of the delegates from Post Office Square to the citadel, followed by a meeting at which representative speakers voiced their pleasure at being present, and their hopes for a successful congress. Commissioners Cunningham and Wilson gave stirring addresses. The congress choir of 150 voices, under the direction of Brigadier Harewood, made its first public appearance, and contributed much to the success and enjoyment of the occasion.
