Years ago they became established as a truly national Australian institution, the unique feature being that two of the founders are still at the helm—a record unrivalled in the amusement history of i the world. The circus will open in Auckland on Monday, March 10, at 8 At the cost of £5,000, Wirth Bros, have brought the greatest performing pure white and brown bear act in the world, seen at every performance. The current season’s programme to be shown here on the Old Dock Site is filled with thrills. Fresh from their triumphs at the London Olympia, the Lias Troupe of six Risley acrobats shows the very latest that has been evolved in tumbling and bab ncing. Trapezists extraordinary, the Flying La Mars, start where most other performers in their line leave off, while thrill is added to thrill by the marvellous feats of the Three Aconas, wonderful balancers. Then there are Claudie Alba, world famous feminine athlete, Mr. P. Wirth's trained horses and ponies, the Santv Duo, “Aerial Torpedoes,” the Darkoskies, Russian riders, the trained elephant herd, and a score of othex* turns that go to complete an entertainment that will live long in the memory. Since the mammoth show was last here, a number of additions have been made to the population of the menagerie, including two black panthers and two baby leopards, six polar bears and five brown bears.
