NEW AUSTRALIAN SCHEME M ELBOURNE, Wednesday. Mr. W. P. Devereaux, who is a member of the Migration Commission, is to go to London to establish an organisation for selling Australian wool abroad, on behalf of the graziers associations of the Commonwealth. PRICES AT SYDNEY SYDNEY, Wednesday. At the Sydney wool sales today offerings totalled 7.514 bales. of which 6.967 were sold in addition to 304 bales purchased privately. Competition was well maintained for all finer descriptions of Merino fleece and skirtings at prices equal to full late rates. All other descriptions were in good request at unchanged values. Great y Merino sold to 3”‘d. which is a fresh Australian record fur this season. STOCK EXCHANGE QUOTATIONS IN LONDON LONDO-V. Tuesday. Common kinds were in very good demand, and prices advanced six to eight cents. Low and medium teas were'two to four cents dearer, and the market for better grades was strong. The catalogues for next week’s sale total 2.470.0001 b.
