RAILWAYS FLOODED
WASHOUTS ON AUSTRALIAN LINE SUSPENSION OF SERVICE Retd. Noon. PERTH, Today. Over 150 miles of railway betw r een Port Augusta and Kalgoorlie have been affected by washouts which have caused a dislocation of the TransAustralian railways for ten days. The suspension of the service is likely. Near Forrest is a lake a mile long and in places the water is a foot over the lines.
