POLICE APPOINTMENTS
TRANSFERS AND PROMOTIONS Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Among the transfers announced yesterday by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. W. B. Mcllveney, are the following: Sergeant W. P. Gilligan, from Dunedin to Timaru, to take the place of Sergeant Peterson, who has taken charge at Blenheim: Sergeant S. G. Hall, district clerk at Dunedin, replaces Sergeant Gilligan; Detective Kearney is transferred from Wellington to New Plymouth as an addition to the strength of the detective force in Taranaki, Constable A. Christiansen, Waiuku, to take charge at Rakaia; Constable A. Bisset. Wellington, to take charge at Waiuku; Constable P. J. Mullan, Hawera, to take charge at Te Arftroa; Constable T Mills, Christchurch, to go to Hamilton: Constable A. J. Kelly. Auckland, transferred to Rotorua; Constable G. E. Callaghan, Auckland, to go to Hamilton; Constable F. F. Ilealy. Wellington, to go to Hawera; Constable E. A. Dunn. Hamilton, transferred to Christchurch.
