TAUMARUNUI WEDDING
BRIDE ATTENDED BY HER TWO SISTERS PRATT—ANDERSON For her marriage to Mr. William Joseph Prafct, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Pratt, of Brisbane, Queensland. Beatrice Mabel, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Anderson, of Raurimu, chose a dainty dress of ivory crepe de chine over silk. Friends of the family had decorated the local Anglican Church and the ceremony was carried out by the Rev. Mr. Goldthorpe, of Taumarunui. Miss Murray played the incidental music. Mr. Anderson gave his daughter away. The corsage of the gown was slim-fitting and the skirt dipped gracefully at the sides. A beautifully embroidered tulle veil was arranged to form a train, surmounted with coronet of orange blossom. The bride carried a lovely shower bouquet of white asters, dahlias, lilies and asparagus fern relieved with satin streamers. She was attended by two bridesmaids, her sisters. Misses .Lola and Jean Anderson, the former wearing apricot celanese silk with uneven hem. and tulle bow on the side, with tulle headdress to match. Miss Jean Anderson wore a frock of lenion crepe de chine,'the skirt being pleated, with hip bow, and headdress of matching tulle. The best man was Air. L. Anderson, with Mr. E. Smith in attendance as groomsman. The reception was held in the Town Hall. To receive her guests the bride’s mother wore navy silk relieved with beige georgette, blue silk crinoline hat and carried a bouquet of red roses. The bride and bridegroom left later by car, the bride travelling in a light fawn costume/ with small crinoline silk hat to match.
