KITCHEN EVENING
AVONDALE GATHERING A very jolly function in the form of a kitchen evening was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Avondale, on Monday. The organisers were Mrs. Whale, Miss Gilchrist and Miss Harris. the guest of honour being Miss Olwvn Grey, of Church Street, Avondale, who was the recipient of many useful gifts. The evening was mainly devoted to dancing, Mrs. Whale providing enjoyable music. Songs by Miss Stacpoole, of Hobsonville, were much appreciated.
