FIVE SETS FOR TEST
AUSTRALIA V. NEW ZEALAND From Gnr Resident Reporter y WELLINGTON, Today. Five set matches will be played in the tennis test between the AllAustralian team and New Zealand, to take place in Christchurch on Friday and Saturday of this week. When the Australians met Auckland Province in the first match of their tour, five sets were played on the first day, but on the second the contests were altered to three sets. Three sets were played against North Island at Wellington last week-end, but for the test New Zealand prefers five set events, and today Mr. D. Murray Kean, secretary of the New' Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, stated that the visitors were quite agreeable to this. BARTLEET BEATS WILSON (From Out Resident Reporter) WELLINGTON, Today. The Australian lawn tennis team Messrs. F. Kalms, C. Sproule, C. Donohue and W. Teague, went South by the ferry steamer last night. Also on board was Mr. E. Bartleet, of Auckland, who has been appointed captain of the New Zealand team. C. Angas, number one in the Dominion team, is already in Christchurch. D. G. France and N. R. C. Wilson. Wellington members of the team, will leave for Christchurch this evening. In Wellington yesterday, Bartleet and Wilson played two practice sets, and Bartleet won 6—3, 6—3.
