EAST COAST TRIBE MEETS LADY NGATA AND HER SON Press Association GISBORNE, Today. One of the most important native gatherings on the East Coast for some time opened officially today, when the Ngati-Porou tribe welcomes delegations from the various Maori districts throughout the North Island, gathered for the memorial hui (meeting) in honour of the late Lady Ngata and her son, Mr. Makarina Ngata. Later in the week, ceremonies will be held at the Waiomatatini cemetery and Te Pahi, when memorial stones will be unveiled for Lady Ngata and her son. The Hon. G. W. Forbes and Mr. K. S. ~W illiams, M.P., will be among the principal speakers.
