CARNIVAL AT MANGERE

SPECTACULAR FIXTURE Plans for a three days’ monster carnival and English fair at the Mangere Domain from March 15 to 18 have been completed by the promoters, the Mangere School Committee, the Domain Board and the Ratepayers’ Association. A grand procession from Royal Oak to the Domain will open the proceedings on Saturday. March 15. The judging of decorated vehicles and fancy costumes will take place at the Domain at the conclusion of the procession. A lengthy sports programme has been prepared. In the evenings the domain will be brilliantly lighted, and Maori and other parties of entertainers will give exhibitions of dancing and ha leas. A feature of the proceedings will be dancing on <jthe green. On Sunday evening a sacred concert will be given by one of the leading brass bands. On Monday and Tuesday evenings similar entertainments will be staged.-
