YOUTHFUL MINISTRY
TWENTY BARRISTERS IN FRENCH CABINET TARDIEU’S FULL CHOICE United. P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright PARIS, Monday. The members of M. Tardieu’s Cabinet are remarkable for their youthfulness. Seventeen are under 50 years of age. The Government seems to be assured of a majority, not a large one, but about 40. That will be enough to carry through urgent business without being again defeated. However, the Left parties can be counted upon to wage war to the knife. The full Cabinet contains 20 barristers, two journalists, - five ex-civil servants, three University professors, two manufacturers, one doctor and an engineer. There are seven more members in this Ministry than in M. Tardieu’s last. The increased size is due to the Premier’s desire to broaden his Parliamentary basis by an extension the Left. Probably M. Reynaud, Minister of Finance, is the greatert surprise. He is a barrisetr, 50 years old. He has a fine gift of lucid expression. His brilliant speech on Tuesday brought down the Chautemps Government.
