MEETING AT TRENTHAM KING’S FIFTY COMPLETED Press Association TRENTHAM, Monday. The shooting, in the Dominion Rifle Association meeting at Trentham today was full of interest. Conditions were somewhat trying for although the light was good the wind was troublesome, ‘'fish-tails” being pronounced. P. Berry (Tararua) was responsible for an excellent performance In finishing at the head of the King’s Fifty. He is only 21, and is an old boy of Nelson College. Many thought that the long ranges would prove his downfall, but although his shooting was not quite as brilliant as at the shorter distances, his scores were consistently good. His aggregate is 464. AV. N. Masefield (Blenheim) one of the most consistent performers at Trentham over a long period of years, was in fine form at the longer ranges and worked his way from tenth in the King’s Fifty to second, with an aggregate of 456. Masefield won the Bisley aggregate and the Australian aggregate, taking the Croxton Cup and the AVliite Horse Challenge Chip. Berry won the B grade aggregate, taking the McLean Gold Star and Barton Challenge Cup. Q.
