PERSONAL.—Captain G. S. Hall retains command of the C. and D. Line steamer Port Victor, which arrived at Wellington on Sunday morning from London, via the Panama Canal, and his officers are:—Chief. THE POOLTA.—The Union Company advises that the Poolta left Brisbane oh Saturday for Grafton, Port Stephens and Newcastle, to load for Wellington, Dunedin, Napier and Greymouth. SURREY AT HA L! F A X.—Cabled news has been received by the Federal Company that the Surrey, which left Auckland on January 25 for New York, Boston, Halifax and London, arrived at Halifax on Thursday last. RANGITATA AT PANAMA CANAL. — The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cable advice that its motorliner Rangitata, which left Wellington on February 8, for Southampton and London, arrived at the Panama Canal on February 27. ZEALANDIC LEAVES BALBOA.— Cabled news has been received bv the Shaw, Savlll Company that their motorship Zealandic. en route from London, left Balboa on February 23 for Suva and Port Chalmers. She is due at Suva on March 13, and at Port Chalmers on March 20. LEAVES PANAMA CANAL.—Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that its motor-liner Rangitiki, en route from London, passed through the Panama Canal on February 27. She is due at Wellington on March 19 and later proceeds to Auckland to complete discharge. FERNDALE SAILS TOMORROW. The Norwegian motor-ship Ferndale, at present at King’s Wharf discharging cargo from Gulf of Mexico ports, is announced to sail at 5 p.m. tomorrow for Australian ports to complete unloading - . Henderson and Macfarlane are her local agents. ~.P ? R T VICTOR AT WELLINGTON.— vYitn a full cargo of general merchandise, the C. and D Line steamer Port Victor arrived at Wellington at 3 0 a.m. on Sunday from London. The vessel left London on January 17, and for the first week experienced very heavy weather, but from then on the weather was fine and the voyage uneventful. The Port Victor will later proceed to Lyttelton, Napier and JNew Plymouth to complete discharge. AUSTRALIAN FRUIT EXPORT.— Owing to the big demand for space in refrigerated steamers engaged in the Australian trade, three vessels have been specially chartered to load fruit at Tasmanian and other Commonwealth ports for the United Kingdom or Continent, and are now on their way from overseas ports to fheir first loading ports. The vessels fixed are the Canonesa, Natia and Irojanstar. *o1? 4 Canonesa, which is a vessel of 5,256 tons register, was built in 1920. and belongs to Furness, Houler, Argentine, Ltd., and will load for Hull and Hamburg. The Natia, 7,723 tons, was built in 1920, and is owned by the R.M.S.P. Meat Transports, London, and left Barrv on February 14 for Beauty Point, where she is due on March 25, to start loading, thence to Hobart and Adelaide to complete, finally sailing for Rotterdam, Hamburg and Liverpool. The Trojanstar. 9,002 tons, was built in 1916 for the Blue Star Line of London. This vessel left the Tvne on February' 15 for Tasmania, and will load for Manchester, Liverpool and London. THE GABRI ELLA.—The Gabriella left Lyttelton for Wellington, New Plymouth and Auckland on Saturday night to complete unloading cargo from Melbourne. THE RARANGA.—The Shaw, Savin and Albion steamer Raranga mailed for Wellington. Lyttelton. Dunedin and Oamaru yesterday afternoon to complete unloading cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain. MAHANA LEAVES COLON.—Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savill Company that the Mahana, which left Napier on February 4 for London, left Colon on Thursday last. PORT DARWIN AT LONDON. —The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Darwin is reported to have reached London from New Zealand on Sunday. She was dispatched from Lyttelton on January 22. THE CANADIAN TRANSPORTER. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Transporter is reported to have cleared Halifax on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about April 10. CORNWALL CLEARED COLON. In continuation of her voyage from Auckland to London the Federal Line steamer Cornwall is reported to have cleared Colon last Saturday. The vessel sailed from Auckland on February 7. THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER. Having completed loading wool and general cargo in New Zealand, the Canadian National steamer Canadian Challenger was dispatched from Auckland last evening for New York, Boston and Halifax. THE WAIOTAPU. —Advice received by the Union Company states that the AVaiotapu reached Vancouver from Suva last Friday. The vessel is to load at Pacific Coast ports for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She is scheduled to clear Los Angeles on March 23 and to reach Auckland on April 20. REMU ERA SAILS 5 P.M.—The New' Zealand Shipping Company advises that its liner Remuera, now at Prince’s Wnarf discharging the local portion of her cargo from London, is to be dispatched at 5 o’clock this afternoon for Port Chalmers and Bluff to complete discharging. WEIRBANK’S ITINERARY. The Bank Line motor-ship Weirbank is expected to complete unloading sugar from Peru at Chelsea on Thursday. Afterward the vessel will replenish her oil fuel bunker at Western Wharf and she is to sail on Friday for Makatea Island to load phosphates for New Zealand. LARGO LAW DISCHARGING.—Advice received from the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the Largo Law’, at present at King’s Wharf unloading the local portion of her cargo of basic eiag from Antwerp, is to be dispatched on Thursday for New Plymouth to complete discharging. GOLDEN WEST SAILS THURSDAY. —The O. and O. Line steamer Golden West, at present at Central Wharf unloading the local portion of her cargo from the Pacific Coast, is to be dispatched on Thursday night for Wellington and Lyttelton to finish discharge. Henderson and Macfarlane are the local agents. TALUNE LEAVES GLASGOW.—The Union Company's new' steamer Talune left Glasgow on Saturday on her maiden voyage to New Zealand. She is a cargo steamer of 2,500 tons, and was built by the Blythswood Shipbuilding Companv. Her dimensions are: Length, 330ft* breadth, 45ft; depth to upper deck. 22ft. The Talune is designed for an average speed of 12 knots. THE KARAMEA.—The Shaw. Savi * and Albion Company’s motor-ship Karalnea, which is at present at Queen’s Wharf loading for London and West Coast United Kingdom ports, is to be dispatched tomorrow evening for Wellmgton to complete. She is scheduled to sari finally from that port on her Homeward voyage on March 12. A. S. Paterson and Company are her local agents.
