TRAMWAY LOOP WANTED

FACILITY FOR GREEN LANE The One Tree Hill Road Board asked the Transport Board this morning to consider the construction of loop-lines in Green Lane West. The Road Board said the Transport Board had promised to submit a scheme when its next loan proposals were in train. In view of the early proposals to be submitted to ratepayers for extending the Mount Albert trams to Avondale the Road Board asked that the loops scheme be included in the proposals. The transport secretary, Mr. W. St. J. Clarke, reported that the board had made no promise. The Road Board had been informed on October 15 that its suggestion would receive consideration "when further loan proposals were being considered.”
