Some time ago the Government Health Department condemned three business premises as unfit for occupation. They haive since been vacated, and one of the owners is how taking steps to have a block of shops erected. • * * Crs. W. R. Lowry and W. F. Stark, of the Piako County Council, with the county clerk, Mr. N. J. Ray, visited Wellington this week to further matters in connection with the tar-sealing of the Hamilton-Te Aroha main highway. As the result of interviews with Government departments it is expected a start will be made with the work in April.
