FOUND DEAD IN CREEK

THROAT CUT AND SANDBAG TIED ROUND NECK TRAGEDY NEAR WAIROA Press Association WAIROA, Today. William Richard Snell, a married man. employed by the Public Works Department at Waihua, was found in a creek yesterday afternoon with hi 3 throat cut and a sandbag: wired round his neck. He had been in ill-health for some time. He had told his wife, who keeps the cookhouse, that he was going for firewood. Anxiety was felt later when he failed to return. A search was made and his body was found. An inquest ■will be held this afternoon.
