Muriel Starr has scored outstanding success in the mystery play, “In the Next Room,” in Australia. Tragedy attaches to a remarkable cabinet, which is placed in the room adjoining that in which the action of the play takes place. There are sudden strange and inexplicable deaths. There are mysterious, warnings and many surprises to the young lady (played by Muriel Starr), who has acquired the cabinet. There are three acts of excitement, bewilderment and tragedy, and the solution of the mystery is not evident until the conclusion of the last act. It is now some considerable time since this artist appeared in New Zealand, but Miss Starr may soon be seen here in some of her latest dramatic successes.
