Anthony Asquith’s New Film DIFFICULTIES OF PRODUCTION j As the Turkish authorities are creating all the difficulties possible to prel vent the use of Gallipoli. British International Films, of which Mr Anthony ] Asquith is a direcI tor, proposes to ; Him the Gallipoli I landing on a Mai tese beach which 'is described as I tieing exactly simi j lar to Gallipoli. It is hoped to I secure the River j Clyde, the steamer j famous at the j landing, which at Anthony Asquith present is under the Spanish flag. The owners are asking £15,000 for its use. Another difficulty is that of Australian and New Zealand uniforms. The British Government, which is cooperating, cannot supply them, as they are very different from those of the present British regiments. The Gallipoli episode is part of a film version of Ernest Raymond’s novel, “Tell England.” The Mediterranean Fleet is co-operating in the production.
