NEW SHOWS FOR HIS MAJESTY’S Auckland amusement lovers are looking forward with keen interest to seeing Freddie Forbes and all the favourites of Sir Benjamin and Mr. John Fuller’s Musical Comedy Company in the great musical comedy success, “Sunny,” which will be presented at His Majesty’s Theatre shortly. Among t.he other successful musical comedies to be revived are “Archie." “Lido Lady,” "Tangerine,” “Nellie Kelly,” “Mercenery Mary,” “Billy, and “Lady Be Good.” Heading the company and providing most of the laughter Is Freddie Forbes, assisted by Catherine Stewart. Betty Lambert, Vere St. .John. The Arney Brothers, Verna Bain. Aster Fair©, and a capable and beautifully dressed It is rarely indeed that theatregoers have an opportunity to witness any production surpassing this merry musical play, in gay music and with such striking dance ensembles, wedded to a skilfully woven story. I The settings, moreover, are someI thing quite out of the ordinary, following each other in an ever-changing kaleidoscope of attractive and wondrous scenes, from circus tent to deck of s s. Triumphant, then away to the groves of Florida and subsequently, to the gorgeously coloured fields of popples, where beautiful girls dance gaily through the swaying blossoms, all splendidly attractive and mightily diverting.
