CROQUET IN WELLINGTON
CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. The final of the open championship singles in the Wellington croquet championships was played yesterday between Mrs. Johnson, of the Waimarie Club and Mrs. Mowery, of the Kelburn Club, Mrs. Johnson winning the title. The first game went to her 26—12, but she lost the next, 24 —26. Playing brilliant croquet she was successful in the deciding game, which resulted 26—13.
