The subscription list will be opened on Monday for a loan of £6,000,000 offered by the Union of South Africa The stock will bear 5 per cent, "interest, and is redeemable in 1975, the Government reserving the right to repay it at any time after 1945. The price of issue is 981 per cent. The net yield on a currency of 15 years would he £5 2s lid per the loan runs its full term of 4e years the yield would be £5 Is 9d per cent. FEUDING STOCK SALE Press Association FEILDING. Friday. More than -0,000 sheep were yarded at the stock sale today, mostly breeding ewes. The quality was not quite up to last week’s ewe fair, and prices were slightly down, but the sale was very satisfactory. Fat ewes made 17s Ikl to 18s; maiden ewes, 26s 3d; prime fat wethers, 265; prime two-tooths, -*>- 6d; good, 26s 3d; black face two* tooths, 25s 9d to 275; breeding ewes, two-tooths, best, 35s to 365; others, 24s 9d to 30s 3d: four-tooths, 25s 9d: four and six-tooths, 26s Id to 27s sd; four years, 22s to 235: five years; 22s Id: five years, best, 22s 6d to 23s sd; others, 20s 4d to 22s 3d; poor, 18s 3d. Dairy cows brought £9 to £ll 10s. Stores: Jersey weaner heifers made 47s to 47s 6d; empty Jersey cows, to £6: 15-months steers, £6 7s; 2i-year Shorthorn steers, £6 12s 6d to £6 17s 6d; 2J-year Hereford steers, £7 17s 6d: 21-year Shorthorn bullocks. £6 7s to £8 Is. Fat cattle; Light Jersey cows made £7 to £7 10s; Shorthorn cows, £9 5s 6d to £lO 15s; Shorthorn heifers. £ll 10s; fat. mixed colours, heifers. £8 10s to £9 15s 6d; small potter bulls, £4 12s 6d; large, £lO 10s.
