TRAVELLER'S DEATH
COLLAPSED AT GANGWAY OF MAUNGANUI WAS LEAVING FOR LONDON Heart failure is thought to have been the cause of death of Mr. Sibbit Hamilton Landells who collapsed at the gangway as he was boarding the Maunganui just before sailing-time yesterday. _ An inquest was opened before Mr. . K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, this morning, when the body was identified by John Dryden Hoskin, a company representative of Pembridge Flats, Symonds Street. Witness said Mr. Landells was agency supervisor for the Gestetner Company of London and had been two months in New Zealand on business. Witness had been to see him off on the Maunganui yesterday as he was sailing for Sydney on his way to London. It is understood that Mr. Landells was a married man, aged 49. His address was Station Street, Arneeliffe, Sydney. The coroner has ordered a postmortem examination of the body and the inquest will be concluded -when the doctor’s report is to hahd pn Monday.
