TRAM DESTINATIONS

NEW SIGNS APPEARING Auckland trams will shortly show two new destination signs. Edendale will be changed to Sandringham, the new name of the district, and the sign, “Dominion Road, Third Section,” will become Balmoral. The Transport Board states that as the changes have to be made without withdrawing any of the cars from service, the new destination indicators will have to be altered gradually. Therefore some of the old signs will still appear on the trams for a few days.
