N.Z. BANDS CONTEST
ASSOCIATION MEETS ELECTION OF OFFICERS Press Association DUNEDIN, Friday. Ac the annual conference of the South Island Bands’ Association, the following officers were elected:—President, Dr. IT. T. J. Thacker; secretary, Mr. T. F. Hall: treasurer, Mr. H. Swiney; committee. Messrs. R. B Hean (Christchurch). T. Carroll (Christchurch). C. G. Baker (Timaru), W. D. Murray (Greymouth), E. Bilcliff (Christchurch). A. G. Homer (Dunedin). C. Parsons (Ashburton). A. Woods (Milton). A. L. Familton (Oamaru) and W. J. Nelson (Dunedin). It was resolved that the next contest be at Wellington. It was decided to refer to the committee with approval a proposal for the board of trustees to raise a fund to bring adjudicators out and retain them in New Zealand for from six to 12 months, to instruct bands
