Butcher, 15; Turton, 30, v. Blenkinsop, 20; Needham, 26, v. 20. Section B.—Blair, 15, v. Crowe, 12; Ferkins, 12, v. Coltman, 6; Tongue, 16, v. Loffley, 15; Wardrop, 22, v. Bayliss, 21. THE SEMI-FINAL Winners of sections were:— Section A.—Needham, 9 wins and 1 loss. Section B.—Livingstone (Matamata), no losses. Section C.—Walker (Auckland), 7 wins and 2 losses. Section D.—Graham (Remuera), 7 wins and 2 losses. The uncertainty of bowls and therefore one of its chief attractions, was exemplified yesterday afternoon when Crowe, of Morrinsville, who has had no wins, gave Livingstone, who has had no losses, one of his hardest tussles. Crowe was eight up at one 6tage of the game, but his team lost touch and Livingstone’s came on and finally won somewhat easily. The semi-final between Graham (Remuera) and Walker (Auckland) produced some excellent play, both teams being in form. Graham opened with a single to which Walker replied with three pairs. He was S to 3 on the sixth, but at the tenth, Graham had drawn alongside. Play fluctuated until at the 16th when both teams had scored 13 points. The deciding head was the 19th, where Mingin played a perfect trail, which he was asked to do, and Graham added two more to make his csore • 19 to. 13. Walker failed to score again. Needham and Graham will contest the final today.
