EMPRESS, NEWTON

“The Last of Mrs. Cheyney,” the talking comedy which has been delighting audiences at the Empress Theatre, Newton, will have its final screening there this evening. This is a clever comedy dealing with English society life, and stars Norma Shearer and a large cast. Another merry talkie comedy is the attraction at the Empress from tomorrow. This is “The Very Idea," an unusually entertaining story with a eugenic theme played by a strong cast headed by Frank Craven. The situations are most amusing, the dialogue clever and the whole production excellent entertainment. John Garrick has been replaced by Kenneth McKenna in the Bulldog Drummond role in “Temple Tower,” which Fox is now producing. Another added to the cast is Henry B. Walthall.
