AUCKLAND V. POVERTY BAY PLAY STOPPED BY RAIN Press Association GISBORNE, Today. A cricket match between an Auckland touring team and Poverty Bay opened today in dull weather. Auckland won the toss and batted first, play beginning in a light drizzle which increased as the game continued. S. Hay and W. Fletcher were the opening batsmen. Scoring was very alow in the early stages and at 11.55 a.m. the total was 23 without loss. Play was then suspended because of ihe xajj*.
