MOTORIST COMMITTED FOR TRIAL SEQUEL TO FATAL CRASH Press Association MASTERTON, Today. At the Magistrate’s Court today. Athol J. Buckley was committed for trial to the Supreme Court at Masterton on a charge of perjury, and three charges of obstructing the cause of justice, the chargee arising out of a fatal motor accident at Masterton last October. Accused pleaded not guilty, and reserved his defence. Bail was allowed. Evidence was given that accused had approached certain passengers in his car asking them to state that the number of passengers was less than was the case. Two girl passengers pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court, a few days ago to perjury, because at the inquest they had made false statements as to the number of passengers, stating that they had been asked to do so.
