OLD HOMESTEAD BURNED
OWNER’S HEAVY LOSS Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday. Damage estimated at £3,000 was done by a fire which destroyed Mr. Thomas Miles’s homestead, “Ngapara,” at Fernside, on Monday evening. The house, of 22 rooms, was built 60 years ago. The insurance was for £I,OOO in the State Office. A little furniture was saved.
