INVERCARGILL A CITY

SEVENTH IN DOMINION Pre3S Association INVERCARGILL, Wednesday. A message was received this evening from the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, stating that a proclamation would be gazetted tomorrow declaring Invercargill a city from March 1. The Mayor, Mr. J. D. Campbell, said that the significance of this change was that Invercargill became a city without any alterations in its boundaries.
