SUBURBAN THEATRES
The Tivoli Theatre, Karangahape Road, is showing “The Mississippi Gambler,” starring Joseph Schildkraut. and “The Mysterious Dr. Fu Manchu," starring Warner Oland, both talkies. From tomorrow the Tivoli will screen “The Dance of Life,” a stage story starring Nancy Carroll and Hal Skelly. At the Rialto Theatre. Newmarket the chief picture is “The Red Dance,” a tale of Russia before and during the revolution, starring Dolores Del Rio and Charles FarrelL The Britannia Theatre, Three Lamps, is presenting the amusing talkiecomedy, “The Ghost Talks.” starring Helen Twelvetrees, Stepin Fetchit and many others.
Evelyn Brent has two homes, one in Hollywood and the other at Malibu Beach. When she is not working at the Hollywood studio, most of her time is spent at the beach.
