MASS MEETING PLANNED

SAMOAN POLICY ATTACKED Aucklanders interested in the Samoan situation met in the Chamber of Commerce last - evennig. the Rev. A. J. Greenwood presiding. Mr. Fitzherbert spoke of his experience among the native races and gave his views of the position. He urged that a vigorous protest should be made against the Government’s policy. After dealing with the reports of various commissions which investigated Samoan affairs, Mr. A. Hall Skelton moved that committees be set up to organise and raise funds for the holding of a mass meeting in the Town Hall at an early date. Many of those present gave in their names as helpers and strong committees were set up.
