NEW PRISON CHAPLAIN

INDUCTION OF THE REV. G. MORETON The induction of the Rev. G. E. Moreton as assistant-City Missioner and prison chaplain will be conducted by Ardhdeacon Mac Murray at the Lewis Eady Hall on Sunday, March 2, at 7.30 p.m. He will commence his new duties immediately. Mr. Moreton has had considerable experience in all branches of social work, and was for many years associated witn the Rev. V. G. Bryan King-, the City Missioner for Dunedin. During the disastrous floods in Central Otago in 1923, he took a leading part m the organisation of relief work. He was a frequent visitor to the prison and the hospital of the city, and his wide experience fits him eminently for his task in Auckland. Mr. Moreton succeeds the Rev. Charles Chandler, who recently left for byaney.
