MATAMATA SHOW

SUCCESSFUL FIXTURE RECORD ENTRIES AND TAKINGS From Our Own Correspondent MATAMATA, Tuesday. The Matamata Show was held today in fine weather and was a great success, entries and gate-takings being a record. The show, which was officially opened by the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, was in all respects j oriG of the best ever held here, i Among the cattle, the Jerseys pre- | dominated in both numbers and quality, as usual. The animals entered were mainly good, there being fewer inferior sorts than hitherto. The champion bull and cow and the reserve cow were of outstanding merit. Competition in the older classes was also better than previously. Perhaps, one of the most noticeable features of the show was the excellent condition of the yearling stock.
