Mr Beaumont Smith was a passenger to Auckland by the Limited this morning. _ Mr. F. W. Fnrkert, engineer-in-chief to the Public Works Department, arrived by the Limited today. >lr. J. F. Cousins, secretary of the. New' Zealand Motor Trades Association, left for Wellington last evening. Mr. J- Fteem, of the fields division of the Department of Agriculture, who has been visiting Auckland, left for Palmerston North last evening. Mr. M. H. Wynyard, who left for Wellington last evening to attend a meeting of the Highways Board, expec ts to return to Auckland on Saturday. The Right Hon. J. G. Coates-, Leader of the Opposition, arrived in Auckland from Dargavillo and left this morning with the Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Public Works, to make a tour of his electorate.
