TUNNEL-WORKER’S DEATH
ACCIDENTALLY KILLED Press Associatioii WELLINGTON, Tuesday. "The evidence shows that every necessary precaution was taken for the safety of the men working in the tunnel,” said the coroner. Air. T. B. McXeil. S.AI., at the inquest concerning the death of Samuel Fleming, who died after being injured when buried by a fall of rock on the Tawa Flat Tunr.pl work at Ngahauranga on the night of February 13. “Apparently,” said the coroner. “it was one of those accidents of which all workers underground run the risk. Fleming died from pneumonia following injuries received from an accidental fall of rock.” He had no relatives in the Dom - inion, and it is understood that his parents live in Ireland.
