CHURCH FOR MAORIS
AGED WOMAN’S OFFER from Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Tuesday. In welcoming the Rev. K. K. Pou at a recent function at Paeroa, Mrs. Nicholls, aged 85, described the native meeting house as no place for holding Divine service. She said the Maoris should bestir themselves and provide a properly appointed church for their services. To this end she has promised £25 toward the cost of a building and offered to provide the site. She has also offered to be a candidate for confirmation and will be confirmed by Bishop Bennett on his next visit to the district.
