Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Abbott left by the Tofua for Fiji on Saturday. Mrs. A. M. Hellaby, of England, is visiting Auckland and is staying at Braeburn. * * * Mrs. E. M. Edgar, of Ellerton Road, Mount Eden, left last night for a visit to Wellington. Lady Sidey has arrived in Wellington from Dunedin and will remain there until March. Mrs. Kohn, who has been the guest of Mrs. It. Dawson, Te Awamutu, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. Lindo Fergusson. of Waimate North, is visiting Auckland and is staying at Braeburn. Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth McCormick, of Symonds Street, returned yesterday from Christchurch. i Mrs. T. H. Lowry, of Hawke’s Bay, and Mrs. C. Elgar, of Featherston, ‘were recent visitors to Taupo. * * * Mrs. H. C. Robinson, of Esplanade Road, Mount Eden, left last evening on a visit to Wellington. * * * Mr. and Mrs. J. Simpson, of Hamilton, and Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Quinlan, of Rotorua, are guests at the Star Hotel. * * * Mrs. Von Sturmer, of Auckland, has returned from a visit to Hamilton, where she was the guest of Mrs. H. E. Gage. Miss E. Frater. of Parnell, leaves by the Tahiti today from Wellington for an extended visit to England and U.S.A. ♦ * * Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Penn, of Sydney, and Mrs. B. C. Jones, of Melbourne, are staying at the Royal Hotel. Mrs. Hope B. Gibbons, of Wellington. and Mrs. J. Robertson, of Te Kuiti, are among the guests at the Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. T. Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. R. Beale, and Mr. and Mrs. C. Hoskings, of Sydney, are staying at Hotel Cargen. Mr. and Mrs. M. Cole, of Sydney, Mr. and Mrs. H. Mainland, Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Rowe, and Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Rowe, are at the Central Hotel. ** * * Miss Nash, Miss Whisker and Miss Hill (Wellington), Miss Cook (Palmerston North), Miss Power (Wairarapa) and Miss L. Mrs. J. B. Condliffe, of Honolulu, who has been spending a few months in Canterbury, leaves today en route for London to join her husband. Dr. Condliffe, who will arrive in England in April.
Mrs. Edger and Miss Langsford returned by the Aorangi from a two years’ trip abroad. They visited Australia, Tasmania, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Canada and the United States.
