SATIN AND LACE GOWN
GRANT—HEAPS The marriage took place at St. James’s Church on Wednesday last of Ruby, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Heaps, of Auckland, to George, only son of the late Mrs. T. Latham. The Rev. Evan Herries officiated. The bride, who entered the church on her father’s arm, wore a frock of ivory satin with silk lace panels and lovers’ knots worked in tiny seed pearls. Her embroidered veil of silk tulle was arranged as a coronet, with orange blossoms falling gracefully to form the train. A bouquet of white flowers was carried. Miss Violet Heaps, sister of the bride, who attended as bridesmaid, wore an uneven hemline frock of cameo pink georgette and silver lace. The bodice was trimmed with French embroidery and finished with georgette hip-bow. She wore a crinoline hat and carried a bouquet in tones to match. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. H. Kiddell as best man. A reception was held later at the O’Neill Street Hall, Ponsonby. Mrs. Heaps received her guests in a beige frock of lace and georgette, with crinoline hat to tone, and carried a posy of autumn tints.
