Under and in pursuance of the requirej meats of “The Education Act, 1914,” it is publicly notified that the Education Board of the District of Auckland has caused the rural area of the Auckland Education District to be divided into three wards, and has assigned a name to each ward. The Board hereby publicly notifies the names of the several wards and the schools situated in each ward as set forth hereunder: — NORTH WARD—Containing the following counties and all the schools situated therein: —Bay of Islands, Hobson, Hokianga, Mangonui, Otamatea, Rodney, Whangarei, Whangaroa also Waiternata County (except Belmont, Birkdale, Birkenhead, Devonport, Lynn, Northcote, Stanley Bay, Takapuna, and Vauxhall ■ Schools) and Great Barrier Island. EAST WARD—Containing the follow- | ing counties, and all the schools situated therein:—-Coromandel, Hauraki Pla.ins, | Matamata, Ohinemuri, Opotiki, Piako, Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga, Thames, Waikato (except the Fairfield, Hamilton East, Hillcrest, Huntly and Taupiri ! Schools), Whakatane and Waiheke Island. Also the following schools in the Manukau and Franklin Counties: —Alfriston, Ararimu, Bombay, Brookby, Clevedon, Clevedon North, Drury, Howick, Hunua, Kaiawa, Maraetai (No. 2), Mataitai, Maungatawhiri Valley, Mercer, Miranda, Moumoukai, Orere, Pakuranga, Paparata, Pokeno, Rama Rama, Wairoa South, Whitford Nos. 1 and 2. WEST WARD—Containing the following counties and all the schools situated , therein:—Kawhia, Otorohanga, Raglan, [ Taumarunui, Waipa (except Hamilton i West, Frankton, Waikato Hospital and Whitiora Schools), Waitomo (except ! Awakino, Mahoenui and Marakopa Rid- ! ings and that portion of the Paemako Riding lying to the west of the following j line—Beginning at the point where the Mangaotaki River intersects the northern boundary of the Karu O Te Whenua B No. 28, No. 1 Block, thence in a northerly direction by the Mangaotaki River to the south-eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XI, Maungamangero S.D., thence by the southern boundary of that section, the Kinohaku West C No. 2 Block and Section 2, Block X., Maungamangero S.D., to the Mangaorongo Stream, thence in a northerly direction by that stream and the Mangaohae Stream to the northern boundary of Section 1, Block 11., Maungamangero S.D.), and Eden (except the following schools: Auckland Hospital, Avondale, Avondale South, Bayfield, Beresford Street, Brixton Road, Curran Street, Edendale, Epsom, Gladstone, Grafton, Grey Lynn, Koliimarama, Maungawhau, Meadowbank, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Napier Street, Newmarket, Newton Jentral.
