MODEL YACHT NOTES

The Orakei Basin Model Yacht Club held races on Saturday for a medal presented by Mr. A. R. Bevins. The committee laid down a hard set of rules, with the ultimate winner well concealed. Conditions required three courses, a windward one, a lead and a fiat run, the boat gaining three points being declared the winner. The weather on the day was anything but favourable, the boats being beset by calms. Entries were good. Results are as follow:—Windward course. Silver Mist, 1; lona, 2; Xpdncv, 3. Leading course: Mercury, 1: Silver Mist, 2; Miss Orakei. 3. Owing to absence of wind further racing was postponed until next Saturday. Points gained are:—Silver Mist, 8; Mercury, 5: lona, 3: Xpdncy, 1: Miss Oroltei, 1.
