MEETING OPENS TOMORROW PROSPECT OF GOOD RACING The autumn meeting of the Dannevirke Racing Club is to open on Wednesday and will conclude on Thursday. * The acceptances for the first day’s racing are more solid than brilliant. but there is plenty of material to provide stirring contests. Present indications point to the course being in splendid order unless the weather takes a turn for the worse. The following horses are expected to be well supported in their engagements on Wednesday: Maiden Plate. — Black Acre, Corncroff and Par!. Oringi High-weight. Tunbridge, Mothpiane and Perle de Leon. Dannevirke Cup.— The Hawk, Stanchion and Billion. Tahoraiki Hack. — Belle Star. Keen, and Golden Shadow. Rakaiatai Nursery— Trioping. Sporting Chance and Henry of Navarre. Oringi Hack. — Warfille, Royal Opera and High Society. President’s Handicap— Royal Parade, Kaihoro and Dobbin. Makirikiri Hack. — Kilorell, Mothplane and Cook. The acceptances are:—
