CAREER OF MR. E. “CHUTE” FOX
POPULAR FIGURE IN SPORT
The death at the Soldiers’ Annexe, Auckland Hospital, on Sunday of Mr. E. (“Chute”) Fox will be deeply re-
gretted in Rugby League circles. The late Air. Fox was Devonport and Auckland representative before the war, ancl since then had been prominently identified with the game as a member of the Manugement Committee and as an Auckland and New Zealand selector.
Tlie late Mr. Fox had a distinguished careed at the war, winning the Military Medal. He was also severely wounded, .and in late years his health had been far from good. His cheerful disposition and generous, uncomplaining nature endeared him to a wide circle of friends. Few men in sport have enjoyed greater popularity.
