LONDON MARKET PRICES LONDON, Saturday. The weekly quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meats arc based on actual sales of wholesale quantities of carcases of mutton or lamb, or of quarters of bef, delivered to Smith field market, and/or ex London stores. They are compiled by the Quotations Committee, Smithfield. To arrive at the equivalent ex ship values, one farthing a lb should be deducted from the prices quoted below. Quotations given represent the average for the week, and are not selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of the shipments now on offer. No New Zealand or Australian sheep were offered. Argentine Sheep.—First quality crossbred wethers, 481 b to 641 b, 7id; 651 b to 721 b, Ssd: over 721 b, 7d. New Zealand Lambs. —Canterbury, 3filb and under. 431 b to 501 b. 10£d: second quality, average 331 b. lOd: selected North Island brands, first quality. 361 b and under, 10id: 371 b to 421 b, 10id; second quality, average 311 b, lOd.
